Call & Confirm

Automated appointment confirmation calls for Veradigm® Practice Management.

Drawbridge calls patients one to three business days before their visit and writes the result into Veradigm® Practice Management. Your staff approve each day's list.

Process

Staff approve each day's call list before any call is placed.

  1. Staff approve the list
  2. Patients called in advance
  3. Schedule updated
  4. Unconfirmed patients flagged
What happens at each step
  1. Staff approve the list

Each day your staff see who Drawbridge plans to call and approve the list. No call goes out without that approval.

  2. Patients called in advance

One to three business days before the visit, Drawbridge calls the patient, who can confirm, move or cancel the visit on the call.

  3. Schedule updated

The result goes straight into Veradigm® Practice Management, so the schedule your staff already use is up to date.

  4. Unconfirmed patients flagged

Patients who haven't confirmed are on an unconfirmed list for your morning huddle, so your team knows who to follow up with.

Call types

Three types of outbound calls.

  • Visit confirmations

Placed one to three business days before the visit to confirm, reschedule or cancel.

  • No-show follow-up

Patients who missed a visit are called to rebook.

  • Recall calls

Patients due for a recall visit are called to schedule it.

Call limits and privacy

Call frequency limits and patient privacy.

  • Up to three attempts

Placed at different times of day.

  • Daily and weekly limits

No more than one call per day or three per week.

  • Discreet voicemails

    Voicemails omit visit details.

  • Patient opt-out

Patients can opt out during any call.

  • Staff approval

No call is placed until staff approve the list.

  • Recorded results

Results are written to the schedule and kept in the call history.

Benefits

Fewer missed appointments with less staff time on the phone.

Patients confirm or reschedule ahead of time, and the schedule stays full.

  • Fewer no-shows. Patients hear about their visit ahead of time, and those who can't make it can move it on the call.
  • Reduced staff call volume. Your team calls only the patients on the unconfirmed list.
  • Earlier release of open slots. A visit moved days ahead opens that time for another patient.

Questions about Call & Confirm

How often does Call & Confirm call a patient, and what does it say in a voicemail?

Drawbridge calls one to three business days before the visit and tries up to three times, at different times of day. It never calls a patient more than once a day or more than three times a week. Voicemails are short and written to leave out visit details, so nothing private is left on a shared phone. Patients can opt out on the call, and your staff approve each day's call list before any call goes out.

What happens after a Call & Confirm call?

The result is written straight into Veradigm® Practice Management: the visit is confirmed, moved to a new time or cancelled. Patients Drawbridge couldn't reach, or who haven't confirmed, are on an unconfirmed list for your morning huddle, so your staff know who to follow up with.
